JU Wool was founded in response to a growing demand for Canadian wool expertise. It offers business to business services in three critical areas: Commercial manufacturing, research and development, and wool marketing. Work is predicated on growing a modern and resilient Canadian wool ecosystem.

JU Wool caters to several types of clients. Commercial manufacturing serves designers, resellers, and retailers. R&D clients include for-profit and not-for-profit innovators. Wool marketing negotiates the relationship between wool seller and wool buyer, and fosters continued on-farm wool improvement.

Manufacturing can be as short as one or two months, or as long as 18 months depending on the complexity of the project.  We are transparent about our processes, costs and timelines. We keep our clients informed every step of the way.

Yes. All our products include a signed Declaration of Authenticity indicating sheep provenance and breeds, as well as a list of every intermediary who has handled the wool in your product. Our wool product transparency scheme surpasses global standards.
